Brethren Care Village began in 1972, offering nursing home care and supportive living options to seniors in the Ashland area. Originally an outreach of the Mission Board of the Brethren Church, Brethren Care Village is now a separate 501(c)-3 non-profit organization, operated by an independent local Board of Directors.

At Brethren Care Village, we recognize the needs of seniors as being individually unique. That's why we offer a wide-range of services to personalize the care based on each person's lifestyle.

Located approximately 3 minutes from downtown Ashland, Samaritan Hospital and Ashland University, Brethren Care Village provides housing services which include Independent, Assisted, Rehabilitation, Nursing, and Memory Support/Alzheimer's Care living.

Brethren Care Village is located 80 miles north of Columbus, 67 miles south of Cleveland and just 50 miles west of Akron. Our location conveniently positions our facility within one hour from three major cities including airports (Port Columbus International, Cleveland-Hopkins, and Akron-Canton Airports respectively).

Brethren Care Village offers two unique locations for our Assisted Living residents. Belmont Tower and Brookwood Place are both designed to meet your individual needs.

Belmont Tower, our five-story apartment building, offers seniors a one- or two-bedroom apartment choice. Apartments are available in 500, 600, 650 and 900 square feet sizes and all of them include the following amenities:

* Kitchenettes including mini-refrigerator, microwave, cabinets and sink
* Individually controlled heating and cooling
* 24-hour nursing emergency response

Brookwood Place, our single level apartment building, is beautifully decorated and offers our residents with a choice of either a studio (280 square foot) or one bedroom (365 square foot) apartment living options. Brookwood's amenities include:
